MORAVIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER RANKED 8TH IN REGION

BETHLEHEM, PA --- For the first time this season, the Moravian College women’s soccer team has moved into the National Soccer Coaches Association of America regional rankings, earning the eighth spot in the Mid-Atlantic Region this week.

The Greyhounds, who defeated rival Muhlenberg College 1-0 on Sunday, are 8-2 overall this season. Moravian’s first loss was to William Paterson University, which is ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and the Greyhounds’ second loss came against perennial Commonwealth Conference powerhouse Elizabethtown College, 3-2 on Saturday.

Moravian still has two ranked teams to play this season with a match against seventh ranked University of Scranton on October 4th and a match at second ranked Messiah College to end the regular season on October 21st.

The Greyhounds are in their seventh year of women’s soccer and the program has posted a 67-34-3 record.
