MORAVIAN WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY REMAINS 8TH IN NATION

BETHLEHEM, PA --- With its eighth straight Middle Atlantic Conference Championship last Saturday, the Moravian College women's cross country team remained eighth in the nation in this week's NCAA Division III national poll.

The Greyhounds have won six of the seven meets they have run in this season and placed second in the other race.  Moravian is also 3-0 in dual meets.

Junior Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic/Riverside HS) won her second straight MAC Individual Championship last weekend and she also has placed first in two other competitions.  Junior Emily Shertzer (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin HS) has captured first place three times this season.  Wolfsberger and Shertzer have been followed by junior Kim Jaick (Coopersburg/Southern Lehigh HS), junior Erin Boyle (Philadelphia/ Nazareth Academy) and senior Hannah Wood (Palm/Upper Perkiomen HS).  All five of Moravian's top runners have finished in the top 40 of each race this fall and were in the top ten of the MAC meet.

The Greyhounds will take this weekend off as they prepare for the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Dickinson College on Saturday, November 11th.
