COLLIER NAMED MAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior Dustin Collier (Easton/Freedom HS) from the Moravian College football squad have been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Collier, a defensive end, led the Greyhounds to their third straight win, a 28-21 victory at Wilkes University on Saturday, and helped the squad clinch its first winning season since 1997.  Collier had 12 tackles, six of them solo, three tackles for loss of 24 yards, two sacks for loss of 18 yards and a fumble recovery.  Collier's second sack pinned the Colonels on their own two yard line and forced a punt the Moravian's Michael Abbate (South Plainfield, NJ/ Bishop Ahr HS) returned 29 yards for a touchdown.  The Greyhounds, 6-3 on the season, will host rival Muhlenberg College on Saturday, November 11th at 1:00 p.m.
