REDIGER NAMED MAC SCHOLAR-ATHLETE
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior track & field athlete Anthony Rediger (Sellersville/ Pennridge
HS) of Moravian College has been named the Middle Atlantic Corporation Spring Male
Scholar-Athlete.
The MAC Scholar-Athlete is a new award in the MAC this season that is being awarded to
a senior male and female student-athlete each sport season. All 16 schools in the
MAC nominate one male and female student-athlete and the winner is selected by the MAC
Awards Committee and the Executive Director of the MAC.
Rediger was a five-time MAC All-Star his senior season this year with first team accolades
in the high jump indoors and the triple jump outdoors while earning second team honors
in the triple jump and long jump indoors and the high jump outdoors. Rediger competed
in the jumping events for four years for the Greyhounds and won numerous events and twice
set the meet record in the triple jump at the Lions' Invitational hosted by the College
of New Jersey. Rediger, who majored in I/O Psychology and minored in business management,
completed his college degree with a 3.37 grade point average.
