BUSCHTA & BRIA NAMED NSCAA ALL-REGION PLAYERS
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Freshman defender Jackie Buschta (Whitehall/ Allentown
Central Catholic HS) and freshman midfielder Justina Bria (Warminster/William
Tennent HS) of the Moravian College women's soccer team have been named to the National
Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.
The duo helped the Greyhounds to a school record 15 wins this season, a 15-4 overall record,
the first post-season appearance in school history and a first place tie in the Commonwealth
Conference regular season with a 6-1 slate.
Despite being on the defensive end of the field, Buschta, a Commonwealth First Team All-Star
and the Commonwealth Co-Rookie of the Year, was able to score nine goals and add three
assists for 21 points, second on the Moravian squad. Four of her nine goals were
game-winners this season and Buschta is currently playing for the Moravian women's basketball
team.
Bria, a Commonwealth Second Team All-Star, controlled the Moravian offense and defense
this year from the middle of the field. She did score four goals and add four assists
for 12 points.
