WOZNIAK NAMED TO COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE ALL-STAR SECOND TEAM

ANNVILLE, PA --- Sophomore guard Tara Wozniak (Roseland, NJ/West Essex Regional HS) of the Moravian College women's basketball team has been named to the 2000-01 Commonwealth Conference All-Star Second Team.

Wozniak, who helped the Greyhounds finish the season with a 10-14 overall mark and a 4-10 slate in the Commonwealth Conference, led the team in scoring with an average of 15.6 points per game and with 41 three-pointers.  Moravian improved six games this season in the win column from Wozniak's freshman season total of four last year.  Wozniak, who played 25.5 minute per game, was fourth on the squad with 4.9 rebounds per contest and she contributed 41 steals, 37 assists and 30 steals this winter.  She shot 39.1 percent (125 of 320) from the floor, 34.5 percent (41 of 199) behind the three-point line and 74.8 percent (83 of 111) from the free throw line this season.

In her first two years, Wozniak has scored 619 points (12.2 per game) in 48 contests.  She has also added 218 rebounds, 73 steals, 59 assists and 44 blocked shots.

Wozniak was also a member of the Lehigh Valley Small College Women's Team of the Year this winter.
