MORAVIAN WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED 1ST IN NATION
FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK

BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College women's cross country team remained the top team in the nation again this week in the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Poll released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who have won all four invitationals they have run in this season, won the New York University Invitational last Saturday and defeated four other schools ranked in the top 25 last week.

Moravian has placed three of its top five runners in the top ten of each race this season and all five have been in the top 35 of each event.  The four top finishers have all been seniors led by Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic, PA/Riverside HS), who won the Kutztown Invitational to open the season and the NYU Invitational.  Kim Jaick (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh HS) won the Lehigh Valley Championship and has been second for the Greyhounds in the other three races.  The other seniors are Emily Shertzer (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin HS) and Erin Boyle (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy HS).  Moravian's other top finisher has been freshman Chelsea Mullins (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe HS).

The Greyhounds will compete in the university division of the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, October 6th.
