EIGHT GREYHOUNDS ALL-CONFERENCE CROSS COUNTRY HONORS;
WOLFSBERGER RUNNER OF THE YEAR; WILL-WEBER COACH TO YEAR

ANNVILLE, PA --- Eight members of the Moravian College women's cross country team that won its ninth consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Championship have been named to the 2001 MAC All-Conference teams for their top 20 finishes at the MAC meet hosted by Messiah College.

The Greyhounds, who placed third at the 2001 NCAA Division III National Championships last weekend, are lead by head coach Mark Will-Weber, who was named the MAC Coach of the Year.

Senior Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic, PA/Riverside HS) won her third straight MAC Individual title with a time of 18:31.30.  Wolfsberger, who was voted as the MAC Runner of the Year for the second straight year, becomes the first Moravian runner and the first runner in MAC history to win the race three straight years.  Joining Wolfsberger on the MAC All-Star First Team with top ten finishes were senior Emily Shertzer (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin HS) in second at 18:54.80, senior Erin Boyle (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy HS) at third in 19:06.70 and senior Kim Jaick (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh HS) in sixth at 19:38.60.

The Greyhounds had four MAC Second Team All-Stars with finishes in the second ten.  Freshman Alison Stoyko (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin HS) was 11th in 20:06.60 while junior Jen Wagner (Riegelsville, PA/Wilson HS) was 12th in 20:08.60.  Freshman Chelsea Mullins (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe HS) placed 13th in 20:09.10 while freshman Heather McGarvie (Medford, NJ/Shawnee HS) was 14th in 20:13.00.
