MORAVIAN GOLF SELECTED TO FINISH SECOND IN THE MAC

ANNVILLE, PA --- The Moravian College golf team, the runner-up at last year's Commonwealth Conference championships, has been selected to finish second in the Commonwealth Conference this season in the preseason poll voted on by the 14 conference coaches.

The Greyhounds, who were 7-1 last season, will begin their 2002 spring season on Monday, April 1st at the AGA Invitational hosted by King's College.  Moravian is under the direction on 34th-year head coach John Makuvek, who needs just three victories to have 300 career victories.

Moravian received 55 points in the poll.  Defending champion Susquehanna University was selected first with 86 points and nine first place votes while the Greyhounds were followed by Messiah College who had 47 points and one first place vote.
