PETERS NAMED ECAC SOUTH PITCHER OF THE WEEK
CENTERVILLE, MA --- Moravian College sophomore pitcher/outfielder Greg Peters (Hellertown,
PA/Saucon Valley HS) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference NCAA
Division III South Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.
Peters earned a victory and a save in two relief appearances in Commonwealth Conference
action and was named the Commonwealth Conference Pitcher of the Week. Peters worked
two scoreless innings to earn a save in a 6-3 Moravian victory over Susquehanna University. At
the plate, he drove in the final run of the game. In a victory over Lebanon Valley
College, Peters tossed six innings in relief allowing just three runs on seven hits
and four walks. At the plate, he gave Moravian its first lead of the game with a
three-run homerun in the second inning. For the week, Peters hit .368 with
seven hits in 19 at-bats, including a double, two triples, and a home run, adding 11 runs
batted in.
Moravian will return to action on Friday, April 12th in the first game of a three-game
Commonwealth Conference series with Messiah College at 3:00 p.m. at Gillespie Field in
Bethlehem.
