ZALESKI NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Freshman forward Brandon Zaleski (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown HS) of
the Moravian College men's basketball team has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player
of the Week for his performance last week.
Zaleski< led the Greyhounds to a 1-1 record last week while averaging 26.5 points
per game. Zaleski had a game high 25 points in Moravian's 86-74 victory over
Albright College to give Moravian head coach Jim Walker his 300th victory at the school. Zaleski finished
the week with a game high 28 points and a career best 12 rebounds in a 79-72 loss at Messiah
College. For the week, Zaleski was 21 of 34 (61.8 percent) from the floor
and 11 of 12 (91.7 percent) from the charity stripe. He also averaged 10.0 rebounds
per game. Zaleski currently has 407 points in his debut season, tied for the
11th highest single season total in Moravian history with four games left to play this
year.
The men's squad is 13-8 overall and 5-5 in the Commonwealth Conference and will host nationally
ranked Elizabethtown College on Tuesday, February 5th at 8:00 p.m. in a Commonwealth Conference
contest.
