MORAVIAN MEN'S BASKETBALL
TEAM RANKED SECOND IN NATION IN FREE THROW PERCENTAGE
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men's basketball team moved back to second in
the country in free throw percentage, connecting on 79.2 percent of its attempts, in the
sixth release of the NCAA Division III national statistics for the 2001-02 season. The
rankings include games through Sunday, February 4th.
The Greyhounds, currently 13-9 on the season, had made 357 of 451 attempts in the team's
first 21 games of the season and trailed Baldwin-Wallace College of Ohio, which has a percentage
of 80.1 (294 of 367). Moravian has shot under 70 percent in just five games this
season and the squad has hit for over 80 percent in ten games including a perfect 13 of
13 at Messiah College last Saturday. The Greyhounds percentage fell to 79.0 percent
(still second in the nation) after Tuesday night's loss to Elizabethtown College.
