LAWRENCE NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College junior setter Amy Lawrence (Gettysburg, PA/ Delone Catholic HS) has been named the first Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week of the 2002 season for her performance in the first two weeks of the year.

Lawrence has helped the Greyhounds get off to a 6-2 start this fall and runner-up finishes at the Franklin & Marshall College Scramble Tournament and the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic. Lawrence has also been named to the All-Tournament Teams at both events. For the season, Lawrence is averaging 11.78 assists per game to go along with 3.15 digs per contest. She is hitting .397 with 31 kills and 12 service aces.

The Greyhounds return to action on Tuesday, September 10th in their home opener with the University of Scranton at 7:00 p.m. Moravian head coach Shelley Bauder has a chance to earn her 200th career victory in the match.
