MORAVIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM TIED FOR 8TH IN REGION

MISSION, KS --- For the first time this season, the Moravian College women’s soccer team is ranked in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings. The Greyhounds are tied for eighth in the poll released Monday.

Moravian, which has won five straight matches, jumped into the poll after posting a 3-0 record last week, winning all three matches by shutout. The Greyhounds defeated Alvernia College, 8-0, DeSales University, 3-0, and Juniata College, 2-0. Moravian is one of three Commonwealth Conference schools ranked with Messiah College second and Lebanon Valley College tied for eighth with Moravian.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Monday, September 23rd when they host Wilkes University in a non-conference match at 4:00 p.m.
