GREYHOUNDS RANKED IN NCAA VOLLEYBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s volleyball team is ranked in two categories and four Greyhounds are ranked individually in the second release of the 2002 NCAA Division III volleyball statistics.

The Greyhounds, who are currently 9-3 on the season, are 16th in the nation in hitting percentage at .300 and the squad is 21st in kills per game with an average of 14.79.

Moravian junior outside hitter Kim Zipf (Wyomissing, PA/Wilson West Lawn HS) is 13th in the country in kills per game with an average of 4.72. Junior setter Amy Lawrence (Gettysburg, PA/Delone Catholic HS) is 28th in the nation in assists per game at 11.38 while freshman middle hitter Lindsey Siracusa (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury HS) is 18th nationally in hitting percentage at .402. Junior middle hitter Shannon McNeil (Reading, PA/Reading Central Catholic HS) is 24th in the country in hitting percentage at .391.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, September 27th when they host King’s College in a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
