CASTAGNA NAMED COMMONWEALTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College junior Lauren Castagna (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Castagna, Moravian’s number three singles player, helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week by winning singles contests in the team’s 8-0 victory over DeSales University and 5-4 win versus Susquehanna University. The victory over Susquehanna clinched Moravian’s ninth straight appearance in postseason action.

Moravian is currently 9-0 this season and has won its last 32 matches. The Greyhounds will return to action on Thursday, October 3rd in a non-conference match with Drew University beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
