THREE GREYHOUNDS NAMED TO IWCLA DIVISION III ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Three members of Moravian College’s first-ever NCAA women’s lacrosse team have been named to the 2003 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Academic Honor Roll announced Monday by the IWCLA.

Seniors Celeste Adamski (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley HS) and Erica Miller (Tatamy, PA/Nazareth HS) and junior Kaity Cerco (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights HS) all earned spots on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, which honors junior and seniors that maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average.

The trio was a part of Moravian’s first NCAA women’s lacrosse team, which had a 0-13 record this past spring while playing in the highly competitive Middle Atlantic Conference. Cerco was the fourth leading scorer on the Greyhound squad with seven goals and two assists for nine points, and she added 20 ground balls from her midfield position.

Miller, also a midfielder, had two goals in her only season with the Greyhounds while Adamski, a defender, each a goal and an assist this season. Adamski also had 17 ground balls and eight draw controls.

There were a total of 127 Division III student-athletes selected to the Academic Honor Roll including eight from the MAC, four from Wilkes University, Moravian’s three honorees and one from Messiah College.
