THREE GREYHOUNDS NAMED TO IWCLA DIVISION III ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Three members of Moravian College’s first-ever NCAA women’s
lacrosse team have been named to the 2003 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches
Association Division III Academic Honor Roll announced Monday by the IWCLA.
Seniors Celeste Adamski (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley HS) and Erica
Miller (Tatamy, PA/Nazareth HS) and junior Kaity Cerco (Clarks Summit,
PA/Abington Heights HS) all earned spots on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, which
honors junior and seniors that maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average.
The trio was a part of Moravian’s first NCAA women’s lacrosse team, which
had a 0-13 record this past spring while playing in the highly competitive Middle Atlantic
Conference. Cerco was the fourth leading scorer on the Greyhound squad
with seven goals and two assists for nine points, and she added 20 ground balls from her
midfield position.
Miller, also a midfielder, had two goals in her only season with the
Greyhounds while Adamski, a defender, each a goal and an assist this season. Adamski also
had 17 ground balls and eight draw controls.
There were a total of 127 Division III student-athletes selected to the Academic Honor
Roll including eight from the MAC, four from Wilkes University, Moravian’s three
honorees and one from Messiah College.
