HUGHES & ZALESKI NAMED MORAVIAN STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Junior Kim Hughes (Manasquan, NJ/St. Rose HS) of the
women’s basketball team and sophomore Brandon Zaleski (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown
HS) from the men’s basketball squad have been named the Moravian College
Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances last week.
Hughes, a guard, led Moravian in scoring in the team’s only game
last week, an 81-73 loss to nationally ranked DeSales University. Hughes netted
18 points and she dished out a team high four assists. The Greyhounds are 1-2 on the season
and will open the 2002-03 Commonwealth Conference season on Tuesday, December 3rd in the
squad’s home opener versus Albright College at 7:00 p.m.
Zaleski, a forward, scored 17 points and he pulled down five rebounds
in Moravian’s only contest last week, a 73-63 loss to DeSales University. Zaleski has
led the Greyhounds in scoring two of the team’s three games. Moravian is 2-1 on the
season and will open the 2002-03 Commonwealth Conference season on Wednesday, December
4th versus Albright College at 8:00 p.m.
