WYERS NAMED COMMONWEALTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior guard Kevin Wyers (Hamilton Square, NJ/Notre Dame HS) of the Moravian College men’s basketball squad have been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week for his performances last week.

Wyers had his best night in a Moravian uniform, leading the Greyhounds to an 87-55 victory over Drew University in the Greyhounds only game last week. Wyers scored a career best 19 points in the victory and he grabbed a career high eight rebounds. Wyers also tied his career high with three steals while playing 26 minutes in the game. He shot 62.5 percent (five of eight) from the floor and 100 percent at the foul line (six of six).

Moravian is 5-1 on the season and will not play again until January 7th when the team travels to Delaware Valley College for a 7:00 p.m. start.
