SARNOCINSKI NAMED MIDDLE ATLANTIC CONFERENCE WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Senior forward Kristen Sarnocinski (Harleysville, PA/Germantown Academy HS) from the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her performance last week.

Sarnocinski led the Greyhounds to an 82-68 victory over previously undefeated Wilkes University in non-conference action last week. Moravian improved to 5-2 with the victory in its first game of 2003. Sarnocinski helped key a 33-13 run by the Greyhounds in the final 8:31 of the first half to earn the victory at Wilkes. She had five of her team high 16 points during the run including a three-pointer to give the Greyhounds a five-point lead with 7:55 to play. Sarnocinski was seven of 15 from the floor and two of three behind the three-point line in the game and she had a team high six rebounds to lead Moravian to a 43-37 advantage on the boards.

Moravian, which has won four straight games, is 5-2 overall this season and returns to action on Monday, January 6th when the Greyhounds host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference contest at 7:00 p.m.
