ZALESKI NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE MEN’S BASKETBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Sophomore forward Brandon Zaleski (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown
HS) of the Moravian College men’s basketball squad has been named the
Commonwealth Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his performance
last week.
Zaleski led the Greyhounds to a 2-1 record last week including a pair
of victories in Commonwealth Conference action. Zaleski averaged 21 points
and seven rebounds per game while shooting 52.9 percent (27 of 51) from the floor and 85.7
percent (6 of 7) at the charity stripe. In Moravian’s 76-70 victory over Elizabethtown
College, Zaleski scored a season high 32 points, and he added ten rebounds. Zaleski was
limited to 15 points and eight rebounds in a 67-55 loss at the University of Scranton,
but he finished off the week with 16 points and three rebounds in Moravian’s 82-58
victory at Messiah College.
The men’s basketball team is 9-4 overall this season and first in the Commonwealth
Conference with a 4-0 record. The Greyhounds will return to action on Monday, January 20th
when they travel to Swarthmore College for a non-conference contest beginning at 8:00 p.m.
