ROTZELL NAMED ECAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

CENTERVILLE, MA --- Sophomore jumper/sprinter Kirsten Rotzell (Bangor, PA/Bangor HS) of the Moravian College women’s indoor track & field team has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Rotzell qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in a pair of events at the non-scoring Princeton University Indoor Relays last Saturday. Rotzell won the triple jump in a provisional qualifying distance of 11.41 meters (37 feet, 5 ¼ inches) and she placed fourth in the long jump with a provisional qualifying distance of 5.44 meters (17 feet, 10 ¾ inches). She also placed second in the 55-meter dash in 7.3 seconds at the Haverford College Invitational on Sunday.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, February 1st at the DeShriver Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
