GREYHOUNDS RANKED FIFTH IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team moved up one
spot in the Mid-Atlantic Region rankings as the Greyhounds are ranked fifth in the final
NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Regional Poll of the year released Wednesday.
The NCAA ranks eight teams in each region based on the schools record against in region
competition.
The Greyhounds, who are 20-6 overall, have a 17-5 record in the region. Ahead of Moravian
in the poll are DeSales University, King’s College, the University of Scranton, and
Messiah College, and the Greyhounds are ranked ahead of Johns Hopkins University, Muhlenberg
College and Swarthmore College. Moravian has lost games at DeSales, Messiah (twice) and
Lebanon Valley this season, and the Greyhounds have defeated Muhlenberg and Lebanon Valley
(twice).
Moravian will return to action on Saturday, March 1st in the Commonwealth Conference
Championship game at Messiah College. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
