MARTELL NAMED MAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College freshman wide receiver Shawn Martell (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Martell blocked a Wilkes University punt through the back of the end zone with 1:36 remaining in the game for a safety and a 22-20 Moravian victory over Wilkes. Martell also caught one pass for six yards and had one rushing attempt for eight yards.

The Greyhounds are now 3-3 overall and in the MAC with the victory and have a bye next weekend. Moravian returns to action on Saturday, October 25th in a MAC home game with Lycoming College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
