GREYHOUNDS’ CHOMIK RANKED NATIONALLY IN KICKOFF RETURNS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Moravian College sophomore defensive back Tyler Chomik (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is ranked eighth in the nation in kickoff return average in this week’s NCAA Division III football statistics released Monday.

Chomik, who missed two games earlier this season due to injury, is averaging 30.7 yards per return with a total of 307 yards and a touchdown on ten returns. Chomik, who leads the Middle Atlantic Conference in kickoff return average, had the second longest kickoff return in Moravian history two weeks ago when he had a 96-yard return for a touchdown in a game against Lycoming College. This was the first week Chomik was eligible for the national rankings as a student-athlete must have played in 75 percent of his team’s contests to be included.

Moravian is 3-5 overall and in the MAC this season. The Greyhounds will play their final MAC game of the year on Saturday, November 8th against Albright College at Shirk Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m.
