MORAVIAN SOFTBALL RANKED 2ND IN NCAA EAST REGION
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team is ranked second in the East
Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released Thursday.
The Greyhounds, who are 19-1 overall, are ranked behind the College of Staten Island.
Both teams are 8-0 in regional action, which is the main criteria for the NCAA committee.
Rounding out the regional rankings are Ramapo College of New Jersey, College Misericordia,
University of Rutgers-Camden, Montclair State (NJ) University, McDaniel College and King’s
College.
Moravian is currently ranked as the top team in the nation by the National Fastpitch
Coaches Association in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, April 9th in a Commonwealth Conference
doubleheader at Juniata College beginning at 2:30 p.m.
