ZALESKI NAMED TO MAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior forward Brandon Zaleski (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown
HS) of the Moravian College men’s basketball team has been named to the
Middle Atlantic Corporation Weekly Honor Roll for his performance last week.
Zaleski helped the Greyhounds to a 3-1 record last week including the
championship of the 26th Annual Greyhound Rock Classic. Zaleski was named
the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and averaged 19.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per
game last week while shooting 66.0 percent from the floor. Zaleski began
the week with 22 points, nine rebounds and two assists in a 76-64 victory versus Delaware
Valley College. He contributed 16 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots in an 83-81
overtime loss to The College of New Jersey.
Zaleski opened the Greyhound Rock Classic with 23 points, six rebounds
and four assists in a 81-73 victory versus College Misericordia, and he added 15 points,
three rebounds and two steals in a 70-38 win over Grove City College in the championship
game. Zaleski made 31 of 47 field goal attempts during the week, including
16 of 20 during the tournament, and he also connected on one of three three-point attempts
and 13 of 17 foul shots.
The Greyhounds, who are 7-5 overall, will return to action on Tuesday, January 13th in
a Commonwealth Conference game at Lebanon Valley College beginning at 8:00 p.m.
