KIM HUGHES & MORAVIAN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SQUAD RANKED IN NCAA STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Senior guard Kim Hughes (Manasquan, NJ/St. Rose HS) is ranked and the Moravian College women’s basketball team is also ranked nationally in the sixth NCAA Division III basketball statistical rankings released by the NCAA on Wednesday.

Hughes, who has helped the Greyhounds to a 14-7 start to the season, is ranked 22nd in the country in free throw percentage at 85.1 percent (63 of 74).

The Moravian women are ranked 15th in the nation as a team in free throw percentage, making 73.9 percent of their free throws (404 of 547). The Greyhounds have the best single game performance of the season at the charity stripe this year and in the history of the NCAA with a 35-for-35 performance versus Susquehanna University on December 7, 2003.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, February 11th when they host Lebanon Valley College in a Commonwealth Conference game beginning at 7:00 p.m.
