STEPHANIE SEAMAN NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior forward Stephanie
Seaman (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) of the Moravian College women’s
basketball team has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women’s Basketball
Player of the Week for her performance last week.
Seaman was
named the Most Valuable Player and led the Greyhounds to a pair of victories and the
championship of the Catholic University Tip-Off Tournament. Seaman began
the season with game high 16 points, and she added three rebounds in a 65-49 victory
over Gwynedd-Mercy College. Seaman then scored a game high 22 points
with right rebounds and three assists in a 66-51 win over ninth-ranked McDaniel College
in the championship game. For the tournament, Seaman made 15 of 27 field
goal attempts (55.6) and seven of 11 free throw attempts (63.6) as Moravian shot 50 percent
from the floor during the two games. Seaman also averaged 19.0 points
per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest while being named the MVP.
Moravian, 2-0 overall, will
return to action on Tuesday, November 23rd in a non-conference game at DeSales University
tipping off at 7:00 p.m. at Billera Hall in Center Valley.
