DEVRIES NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE
WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior forward Brianne
DeVries (Stockton, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional HS) of the Moravian College
women’s soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the
Week for her performance last week.
DeVries had
a goal and two assists in a 2-0-1 week for the Greyhounds. She had an assist on a goal
in a 2-1 victory versus St. Mary’s College of Maryland and then added the game-winning
goal and an assist in a 3-1 win versus Delaware Valley College at the Dickinson College
Tournament. Moravian’s other match last week was a 0-0 double-overtime tie with
Dickinson.
Moravian is 4-0-1 overall
this season and ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the latest National Soccer
Coaches Association of America/adidas regional poll. The Greyhounds are slated to return
to action on Wednesday, September 15th in a non-conference match versus Haverford College
at 4:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad in Bethlehem.
