MORAVIAN’S
JACOUBS NAMED MAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian
College sophomore running back Chris Jacoubs (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven
HS) has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week
for his performance last week.
Jacoubs became
just first player in Moravian history to run for more than 200 yards in a game more than
once on Saturday when he ran for 216 yards, the fourth highest single game total in school
history, and three touchdowns on 40 attempts in a 32-13 victory over previously unbeaten
Susquehanna University. Jacoubs had a pair of 30-yard touchdown runs
in the game and he added a four-yard touchdown run that gave the Greyhounds a 26-13 advantage
early in the fourth quarter.
Jacoubs,
who moved into tenth all-time at Moravian with 1,406 yards in just 12 career games, also
owns the school record for a single game with 319 yards at Albright College last November.
In just two games this season, Jacoubs has run for 355 yards on 55 carries
with four touchdowns. Jacoubs has five 100-yard games in eight starts
for the Greyhounds.
Moravian is scheduled to
return to action on Saturday, September 25th in an MAC game at Lebanon Valley College
kicking off at 1:00 p.m. in Annville.
