MORAVIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER REMAINS 9TH IN
MID-ATLANTIC REGION BY NSCAA

MISSION, KS --- The Moravian College women’s soccer team remained ninth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the fifth National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III Women’s Soccer Regional Poll of the 2004 season released Tuesday.

The rankings are based on records through October 3rd. Messiah College holds down the top spot followed by The College of New Jersey, Gettysburg College and Haverford College. The top four are ranked in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 poll. The remainder of the top ten is Johns Hopkins University, Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Muhlenberg College, the University of Mary Washington, the Greyhounds and Elizabethtown College.

The Greyhounds have lost to Haverford, 3-2, and Messiah, 4-1. Moravian still has matches left to play this season with Elizabethtown on October 20th and Muhlenberg on October 25th.

The Greyhounds, who are 5-4-1 overall, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, October 5th in a non-conference match at Wesley (DE) College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
