MORAVIAN RANKED 25TH IN LATEST D3FOOTBALL.COM TOP 25 POLL

STERLING, VA --- For the first time this season, the Moravian College football team, which has opened the season with a school-record 7-0 start, is ranked in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll this week as the Greyhounds moved into 25th place after last Saturday’s 35-14 victory at Lycoming College.

Moravian’s seven-game winning streak to start the season is the second longest in school history. The Greyhounds have received votes in each week since the second D3football.com Top 25 Poll of the year was released on September 13th, and the squad has slowly moved up the ranks of teams receiving votes to two spots out of the Top 25 last week. The Greyhounds are the second team from the Middle Atlantic Conference to be ranked in the poll with undefeated Delaware Valley College ranked 19th this week.

The D3football.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. The complete poll can be found at http://www.d3football.com/top25.php?year=2004&week=8.

Moravian is scheduled to play its final road game of the regular season on Saturday, October 30th in an MAC game at Widener University’s Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium in Chester kicking off at 1:00 p.m.
