MORAVIAN’S CHRS JACOUBS NAMED TO MAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

ANNVILLE, PA --- Sophomore running back Chris Jacoubs (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performances on Saturday.

Jacoubs had his third 200-plus yard rushing day of the season to with 238 yards on 36 carries, and he also caught two passes for 57 yards in the Greyhounds’ 45-39 loss to Albright College in MAC action. Jacoubs now has a school record 1,525 yards on a school record 291 carries this season, and he moved into second all-time with 2,576 yards in 19 career games. Jacoubs has run for over 100 yards in 11 of 15 career starts, and he has 557 yards in two games against Albright.

Moravian is 7-2 overall and finished its MAC schedule at 7-2, which clinches second place for the Greyhounds, who were picked to finish seventh in the preseason. Moravian is scheduled to close out the 2004 regular season on Saturday, November 13th in non-conference game versus rival Muhlenberg College kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at Steel Field.
