MORAVIAN NICK TARQUINIO NAMED TO NSCAA MEN’S SOCCER
ALL-MID-ATLANTIC REGION THIRD TEAM

MISSION, KS --- Senior midfielder Nick Tarquinio (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Boro HS) of the Moravian College men’s soccer team has been named to the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team announced Monday.

Tarquinio helped the Greyhounds to an 8-8-1 overall record this season including a 2-5 mark in Commonwealth Conference action. Of Moravian’s eight losses this season, five were by the score of 1-0 including one overtime match, and three of the losses were to teams that were nationally ranked at some point during the season.

Tarquinio, who was named to the Commonwealth All-Conference First Team this fall after missing all of last season with an injury, led the Greyhounds in scoring this fall with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. He had three game-winning goals for the Greyhounds and finished his career with 29 points on ten goals and nine assists in 60 matches. Tarquinio earned both his All-Conference and All-Region awards at the defender position.
