SCOTT SULLIVAN NAMED ASSISTANT MEN’S LACROSSE COACH AT MORAVIAN
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Moravian College has announced that Scott Sullivan has
been hired as assistant coach/defensive coordinator for the Greyhound men’s lacrosse
team.
“We are excited to have Scott join the Moravian program as a defensive coach with
the experience he brings as a coach and a former player,” stated Moravian head coach Fran
Meagher.
Sullivan, who will also assist in the Director of Intramurals with programming
and supervision of intramural activities, comes to Moravian after one year as defensive
assistant at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in North Carolina. Prior to that, Sullivan was
a varsity assistant at the McDonough School, one of the premiere prep programs in the nation.
Sullivan began his collegiate playing career at Nassau Community College
where he was a Junior College All-American. He then played on two NAC Championship teams
at Hofstra University where his last season ended in the NCAA Tournament in 1996. Sullivan has
also earned a physical education teaching degree at Towson University in 2002.
Sullivan played three seasons with the New York Lacrosse Club while
beginning his coaching career as an assistant at Division Avenue High School and then moving
up to head coach at Plainedge High School.
Moravian is slated to begin its 2005 schedule on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Wesley
College in Delaware.
