MORAVIAN RECEIVES VOTES IN FINAL D3FOOTBALL.COM TOP 25 POLL

STERLING, VA --- The Moravian College football team, which opened the season with a school-record 7-0 start, received votes and a total of eight points in the final D3football.com Top 25 Poll released Sunday after the NCAA Division III National Championship game last weekend.

Moravian posted a 7-4 record this season with a 7-2 record in the Middle Atlantic Conference, which was good enough for second place after the Greyhounds were selected seventh in the MAC preseason poll. Moravian played in the 2004 ECAC Southwest Championship game at Franklin & Marshall College, falling to the Diplomats, 37-20.

The D3football.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. The complete poll can be found at http://www.d3football.com/top25.php?year=2004&week=16.

Moravian was one of three teams from the MAC to receive votes as MAC Champion Delaware Valley College was ranked 11th with 363 points and Albright College received three points.
