MORAVIAN’S STEPHANIE SEAMAN NAMED TO MIDDLE ATLANTIC

ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior forward Stephanie Seaman (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Weekly Honor Roll for her performance last week.

Seaman led the Greyhounds to a 3-0 week including the championship of the 4th Annual Starters Moravian Winter Classic while being named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. Seaman averaged 14.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last week while shooting 60.9 percent from the floor (14 of 23), 75 percent behind the three-point line (three of four) and 55 percent at the foul line (11 of 20). Seaman added two assists, six steals and four blocked shots. Seaman played just 20.75 minutes per game last week, eight minutes per game below her average prior to the week, as the Greyhounds won each game by at least 22 points last week.

Seaman began the week with 14 points on four of five shooting and she added seven rebounds and three steals in a 77-49 victory at Wilkes University. Seaman then had nine points and seven rebounds in a 95-38 victory over Rosemont College in the first game of the Starters Moravian Winter Classic. Seaman finished the week with 19 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocked shots in an 83-61 victory over Kean University of New Jersey in the championship game.

Moravian, 10-2 overall and 2-0 in Commonwealth Conference action, will return to action on Wednesday, January 12th in a Commonwealth Conference contest versus Lebanon Valley College in Johnston Hall at 8:00 p.m.
