MORAVIAN’S JENNY HACKLEMAN NAMED TO MIDDLE ATLANTIC

ANNVILLE, PA --- Sophomore forward Jenny Hackleman (Solvang, CA/Rutgers Prep {NJ} HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Weekly Honor Roll for her performance last week.

Hackleman led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 week including a pair of victories in Commonwealth Conference action. Hackleman averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last week while shooting 52.6 percent (ten of 19) from the field and 90 percent (nine of ten) at the charity stripe. She also added six assists, two blocked shots and two steals during the week. Hackleman had her third double-double of the season in Moravian’s 75-59 win versus Lebanon Valley College with 12 points and ten rebounds. She also had three assists in the game. Hackleman finished off the week with a game high 17 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 76-57 victory at Juniata College. In the game against the Eagles, Hackleman was six for nine (66.7 percent) from the field and a perfect five-for-five at the foul line.

Moravian has won six straight games, its longest winning streak since a nine-game winning streak in 2002-03, and the Greyhounds are 12-2 for just the third time in school history, which is tied for the second best start in the history of the program.

Moravian, 12-2 overall and 4-0 in Commonwealth Conference action, will return to action on Tuesday, January 19th in a Commonwealth Conference contest versus Albright College in Johnston Hall at 7:00 p.m.
