GREYHOUNDS RECEIVE VOTES IN D3HOOPS.COM
TOP 25 WOMEN’S POLL

STERLING, VA --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has received votes in this week’s D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released late Monday.

The Greyhounds, who are 16-2 overall and 7-0 in Commonwealth Conference action, received 13 votes this week, which is eighth of the 15 teams that received a vote outside of the Top 25. Moravian moved back into the others receiving votes category after being out of the list for five straight weeks. The Greyhounds received 74 points and were six points out of the Top 25 in the first poll of the season before dropping to 12 points in the second poll and seven points in the third poll. Moravian fell out of the list after losing its second game of the year and falling to 6-2.

Moravian has played several top 25 teams this season, defeating #25 McDaniel College, 66-51. The Greyhounds fell to #2 University of Scranton, 77-58, and to DeSales University, which received six points, 82-73, in overtime. Moravian still has two games to play this season with #6 Messiah College, February 12th in Bethlehem and February 17th in Grantham.

The Greyhounds, who have won ten straight games, will return to action on Wednesday, February 2nd in a Commonwealth Conference game at Widener University tipping off at 6:00 p.m. in Chester.
