GREYHOUNDS RECEIVE VOTES FOR 2ND STRAIGHT WEEK IN
D3HOOPS.COM TOP 25 WOMEN’S POLL

STERLING, VA --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has received votes for the second straight week in this week’s D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released late Monday.

The Greyhounds, who are 17-3 overall and 8-1 in Commonwealth Conference action, received nine points this week, which is tied for eighth of the 18 teams that received a vote outside of the Top 25. Last week, Moravian moved back into the others receiving votes category with 15 points after being out of the list for five straight weeks. The Greyhounds received 74 points and were six points out of the Top 25 in the first poll of the season before dropping to 12 points in the second poll and seven points in the third poll. Moravian fell out of the list after losing its second game of the year and falling to 6-2.

Moravian has played several top 25 teams this season, defeating #22 McDaniel College, 66-51. The Greyhounds fell to #2 University of Scranton, 77-58, and to DeSales University, which received one point, 82-73, in overtime. Moravian still has two games to play this season with #7 Messiah College, February 12th in Bethlehem and February 17th in Grantham.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, February 9th in a Commonwealth Conference game at Lebanon Valley College tipping off at 6:00 p.m. in Annville.
