GREYHOUNDS RECEIVE VOTES IN USA TODAY/ESPN/WBCA DIVISION III TOP 25 COACHES POLL

LILBURN, GA --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has received votes in this week’s USA Today/ESPN/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Coaches poll released late Tuesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 17-3 overall and 8-1 in Commonwealth Conference action, received one vote this week, which is tied for eighth of the 11 teams that received a vote outside of the Top 25. Moravian received nine points last week after receiving three points the week before and one point three weeks ago.

Moravian has played several top 25 teams this season, falling to #1 University of Scranton, 77-58. The Greyhounds did defeat McDaniel College, which received nine points, 66-51, and the squad lost to DeSales University, which received 11 points, 82-73, in overtime. Moravian still has two games to play this season with #5 Messiah College, February 12th in Bethlehem and February 17th in Grantham.

The Greyhounds, who have won ten straight games, will return to action on Wednesday, February 9th in a Commonwealth Conference game at Lebanon Valley College tipping off at 6:00 p.m. in Annville.
