can clinch a berth in the tournament with a victory. Messiah is ranked as high as fifth
in the country and sports a 19-2 overall record while Moravian received votes in the national
polls and has an 18-3 overall record this winter. The Falcons have won 12 straight games
in the series including two postseason games, one of which was the 2003 Commonwealth Conference
Championship game. Messiah has an 18-6 lead in the series and is 6-5 in Johnston Hall.
Moravian’s last win in the series was on February 17, 1999 with a 59-42 victory at
home.
The men’s game also has bearing on the Commonwealth Conference Tournament. Heading
into the contest, Messiah is in second place in the Commonwealth at 7-3 and the Falcons
sport a 17-4 overall record while Moravian is sixth in the conference at 5-5 but just one
game out of the final playoff spot. The Greyhounds are 7-14 overall. Moravian leads the
all-time series 14-8 but the Falcons won both meetings last season.

Grantham tipping off with the women’s game at 6:00 p.m. That doubleheader was originally
scheduled for January 24th but was postponed due to snow.
