GREYHOUND WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS TO FIFTH IN FOURTH NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKING OF 2004-05 SEASON

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team fell one spot to fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the fourth NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 21-4 overall and 12-2 in Commonwealth Conference action, were 20-4 in regional action as of February 20th, the main basis for the rankings. Moravian has played several regionally ranked teams this season, falling to #1 University of Scranton, 77-58 and #2 Messiah College, 74-68. The Greyhounds did defeat #6 McDaniel College, 66-51, and #2 Messiah, 71-64.

The Greyhounds, who are ranked 23rd in last week’s D3hoops.com Top 25 poll and 25th in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Top 25 Poll, are 21-4 overall and 12-2 in Commonwealth Conference play. Moravian will return to action on Wednesday, February 23rd in a Commonwealth Conference Semifinal game versus Widener University tipping off at 7:00 p.m. in Bethlehem.
