MORAVIAN’S JEN BEHAGG & WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM RANKED IN 11TH NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE OF 2005

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has one player ranked in the 11th NCAA III Division women’s basketball statistical ranking released Wednesday while the Greyhounds are ranked in four team categories. The statistics include games through March 13th.

Senior guard Jen Behagg (Hamburg, NJ/Pope John XXIII HS) is 33rd in the nation in assists per game with an average of 5.0. The Greyhounds are 35th in the nation in scoring average at 71.7 points per game, tied for 39th in the country in won-lost percentage at 80.0 percent, 50th in rebounding margin at +5.9 per game and 14th in the nation in free throw percentage at 73.4 percent. Moravian actually leads all the teams ranked in free throw percentage in number of free throws made and attempted with 542 made and 738 attempted free throws during the 2004-05 season.

The Greyhounds finished their 2004-05 campaign with a 24-6 record. Moravian was 12-2 in Commonwealth Conference action and received the top seed in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament before finishing as the runner-up. The Greyhounds were also the top seed in the 2005 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southern Championship and finished as the runner-up.
