MORAVIAN ADDS THREE NEW COACHES TO FOOTBALL STAFF

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Moravian College has named three new members to its football coaching staff for the 2005 season with the hiring of Andy Cerco, Drew DiGiacinto and Jafar Williams.

Cerco will work with the running backs in his first year with the Greyhounds. A 2002 graduate of Moravian, Cerco is currently teaching in the Salisbury School District. Cerco played four seasons for Moravian head coach Scot Dapp and the Greyhounds.

DiGiacinto will coach the tight ends and assist with the offensive line. He is a 2002 graduate of Albion College and has previously coached at Lehigh University (as an assistant offensive line coach in 2003-04) and Dartmouth College (as tight end coach in 2004-05). DiGiacinto also worked the varsity offensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Concord High School in Concord, Michigan, in 2002-03.

Williams will coach the Greyhounds’ wide receivers this fall and comes to Moravian after working as a guidance counselor at the Glen Mills School. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Maryland where he finished his collegiate playing career tenth all-time in receptions. Williams will also serve as a minority recruiting coordinator for all of Moravian’s 20 varsity athletic programs.
