MORAVIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER RANKED 5TH IN NSCAA MID-ATLANTIC REGION POLL

MISSION, KS --- The Moravian College women’s soccer team has been ranked fifth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Mid-Atlantic Regional poll released Tuesday afternoon, the highest-ever ranking for the Greyhounds.

Messiah College sits atop the region with a 2-0 record, and the Falcons are followed by The College of New Jersey (4-0, Johns Hopkins University (5-0), Rowan (NJ) University (5-0) and the Greyhounds. Rounding out the top ten after Moravian are Haverford College (4-1), Mary Washington (3-2), Elizabethtown College (4-0), Wilkes University (4-0) and York College of Pennsylvania (4-0).

In addition to the victory over Mary Washington on September 11th, Moravian has matches scheduled with Messiah on October 15th, Haverford on October 5th, Elizabethtown on October 8th, Wilkes on September 17th and York on October 27th.

The Greyhounds will host the University of Scranton on Wednesday, September 14th in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad in Bethlehem.
