MORAVIAN’S STACEE CUPPLES NAMED TO COMMONWEALTH ALL-CONFERENCE
FIELD HOCKEY SECOND TEAM
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior forward Stacee Cupples (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central
Catholic HS) of the Moravian College field hockey team has been named to the
2005 Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team announced Thursday.
Cupples, who was also on the Commonwealth All-Conference Team last fall,
helped the Greyhounds to a 5-13 overall record, and Moravian was also 0-7 in Commonwealth
Conference action this season. Of Moravian’s 13 losses in 2005, five were by one
goal, including one in overtime, and four losses were to nationally ranked teams.
Cupples led Moravian in scoring with fall with 12 goals and six assists
for 30 points. Cupples also had one game-winning goal for Moravian this
season and was one-of-two on penalty stroke attempts.
During her career, Cupples scored 31 goals (third in school history)
and added a school record 21 assists for 83 points (second all-time). Cupples played
forward the last two seasons after playing in the midfield her first two years.
