MORAVIAN’S LINDSAY SIRACUSA NAMED HONORABLE MENTION ALL-AMERICAN

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO --- Senior middle hitter Lindsey Siracusa (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury
HS) of the Moravian College women’s volleyball has been named an honorable
Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the second straight
year announced late Friday.
Siracusa, who was on the AVCA Honorable Mention All-America Squad in
2004, had 375 kills this season. Siracusa also contributed 59 digs, 42
service aces, 112 blocks, 14 assists, and a .288 hitting percentage.
Siracusa was a member of the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team
as a freshman in 2002, as well as a member of the All-Conference First Team in 2004 and
2005. She was also a member of the AVCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team a year ago and was
on the AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention Squad in 2002.
Siracusa became the fifth player in Moravian history to reach the 1,000
career kill plateau, and she has a four-year total of 1,553 kills, a school record. She
added 420 blocks (second all-time), 326 digs, 150 service aces and 50 assists.
Moravian completed the 2005 season with a 21-10 record. The complete All-Region Teams
