GREYHOUNDS MOVE TO 7TH IN THIRD NCAA REGIONAL
POLL OF 2006 SEASON
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team moved
up one spot to seventh in the East Region in the third NCAA Division
III Regional Rankings released Thursday.
The Greyhounds, who have an in-region record of 26-5 which is
what the poll is mainly based one, were second in the region in
the first poll before dropping to eighth last week. Rounding out
the top eight were Rutgers University-Camden, Rowan University,
King’s College, Ramapo College, William Paterson University,
the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford, Moravian and Wilkes University.
The Greyhounds, who are 30-6 overall, are slated to return to
action on Friday, May 5th as the top seed in the 2006 Commonwealth
Conference Tournament. Moravian will play fourth seed and host Susquehanna
University in the first game of the tournament at 11:00 a.m.
